The Design Solution has been appointed by China Duty Free Group (CDFG) to work on a range of projects, as the retailer accelerates its growth in China and the extended region.
According to the announcement, the agreement secures The Design Solution within a select group of retail design agency partners who will support CDFG in bids for new space. All design agency partners will also assist with the refurbishment of existing retail operations.
Robbie Gill, Managing Director, The Design Solution said: “Achieving this significant status makes us incredibly proud and we are honoured to be working with the extraordinary dynamism and future-focused thinking of China Duty Free Group.
“We share a collective vision to elevate the customer-focused experience in the new era of travel. Retail design has an important role to play in letting passengers know how special and welcomed they are, to celebrate their journey and to feel excited about their airport experience as a memorable highlight of their travels.”
‘MUTUALLY COMPLEMENTARY ADVANTAGES’
A China Duty Free Group Spokesperson added: “This cooperation is a further reflection of our strategy of mutually complementary advantages and synergy between China Duty Free Group and The Design Solution. We hope to present aesthetics and humanity in the retail experience scene and to bring superior luxury shopping experience to consumers, which The Design Solution is renowned for.
“We also expect they will bring us more wonderful designs in the future and we look forward to deeper cooperation with them.”
The announcement follows The Design Solution’s appointment by Beijing Capital International Airport (BCIA) for the commercial planning and design of the international departure lounge at BCIA Terminal 3, where CDFG is the lead retailer.
